SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ted Kuhnen of Prophetstown, who passed away on November 14, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Ted Kuhnen was born in Champaign to Harold and Kathryn Fahr Kuhnen on January 30, 1936; he was a member of the United States Army Reserves for six years; and

WHEREAS, Ted Kuhnen worked as an assistant farm adviser in Whiteside County; he then farmed north of Morrison for three years; after farming, he went to work at Erie Lumber & Grain and then eventually Hooppole Lumber & Grain, from where he retired; and

WHEREAS, Ted Kuhnen is survived by his wife; his daughters, Joy Burns, Cindy Saad, and Betsy Hull; his sons, Don and Jeff; his 15 grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Linda McCormick; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ted Kuhnen and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ted Kuhnen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
