SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Diane Lynn Bushing of Richmond, who
4passed away on January 20, 2017 at the age of 53; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Bushing was born in Chicago to Simon and
6Dorothy (Jablonski) Lynn on November 2, 1963; she was a 1981
7graduate of Grant High School; she attended the College of Lake
8County and Lake Forest Business Academy earning her associate's
9degree in Accounting; she married Douglas L. Bushing on May 14,
101988; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Diane Bushing was employed as a manager for Baxter
12Health Care, retiring in 2012; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Diane Bushing was a very active member of the
14Women's Ministry Organization at St. Peter's Church; she
15proudly served as a Girl Scout Leader as well as on the School
16Board for Nippersink District No. 2; she found great pleasure
17in playing bingo, Words with Friends, and most recently,
18Monopoly; she was an avid reader and loved to travel,
19especially to Florida and Hawaii; she was always happiest
20spending time wherever there was a beach; when not on the
21beach, she found great joy spending quality family time in the
22Wisconsin Dells or their north woods family cottage; she was a

1loving wife, mother, and doting grandma to her precious
2grandbaby, Caleb; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Diane Bushing was preceded in death by her parents
4and Sparkles; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Bushing is survived by her loving husband of
628 years, Doug; two daughters, Kristen (Spyro) Bazigos, and
7Heidi Bushing; her grandbaby, Caleb; her brothers, Ken (Judy)
8Lynn, Daniel (Rena) Lynn, and a sister, Joanne (Leo); many
9nieces and nephews, an abundance of friends, and her special
10fur baby buds, Henry, Oscar, Abby, and Honey; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Diane Lynn Bushing, and extend our sincere condolences to her
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Diane Bushing as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
