SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles "Chuck" P. Ackman of Marengo, who passed away on January 28, 2017 at the age of 81; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ackman was born in Belvidere to LeRoy "Trip" and Frances (Redpath) Ackman on May 12, 1935; he married Reney Burke in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 20, 1974; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ackman was the past president of Marengo State Bank, Suburban State Bank, and the Marengo Chamber of Commerce; he was also a Marengo Little League Coach; and

WHEREAS, Charles Ackman is survived by his wife, Reney; his daughter, Vicky (Mike) Clifford; his son, Charles "Chip" (Lisa) Ackman; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his brother, Richard "Dick" (Peggy) Ackman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles P. Ackman, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Ackman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
