SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Lee Young of Fox Lake, who passed away on January 23, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Michael Young was born in Clinton on August 22, 1955 and was raised by Larry and Mary Hutton; he served in the United States Army in Germany as a member of the Hawk Fire Control Crew; and

WHEREAS, After the military, Michael Young moved to Johnsburg, where he established Young's Auto Repair in 1982; he relocated the business to McHenry in 1997; and

WHEREAS, Michael Young enjoyed collecting guns, John Wayne, classic cars, and riding his Harley Davidson; and

WHEREAS, Michael Young was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James; and

WHEREAS, Michael Young is survived by his wife, Stephanie Armstrong; his children, Matthew Young, Amanda Young, Sean Michalski, Kassandra Michalski, and Katrina Michalski (Chris Brecht); 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his siblings, Joyce, Robert Henry, Maryann, Donald, and Irven; and his half-siblings, Kim and Paul; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael Lee Young, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Young as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
