| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Hubert S. Brown of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on July 20, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was born in Warren County to Ralph E. | 6 | | and Grace McIntyre Brown on March 7, 1922; he served overseas | 7 | | with the United States Army during World War II; he married | 8 | | Nancy E. Fausett in New Boston on November 27, 1947; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Hubert Brown worked for the Rock Island School | 10 | | District as a custodian at Denkmann Elementary School for 29 | 11 | | years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was an avid fan of the St. Louis | 13 | | Cardinals, and he enjoyed watching sports; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was preceded in death by his wife, | 15 | | Nancy; his parents; his sisters, Mildred Slaby, Marjorie Lewis, | 16 | | Veryl Johnson, June Christian, Margaret Merkle, Bonnie | 17 | | Saunders, and Izora Callahan; and his brothers, Gerald, | 18 | | Willard, Delmar, and Dale Brown; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Hubert Brown is survived by his brothers-in-law, | 20 | | Jerry and Rodney Fausett; and his many nieces, nephews, and |

| 1 | | other loving family members and friends; therefore, be it
| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 4 | | Hubert S. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his | 5 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 6 | | further
| 7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 | | presented to the family of Hubert Brown as an expression of our | 9 | | deepest sympathy.
