SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marilyn Rose Banovic of Litchfield, who
4passed away on May 27, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was born in Mt. Olive to John
6Henry and Catherine (Gorsich) Zubal on December 6, 1929; she
7married John Joseph Banovic in Mt. Olive; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was a licensed beautician and
9owned and operated Marilyn's Beauty Shop in Mt. Olive; over a
1033-year span, she also worked for the Illinois Department of
11Transportation in Springfield as an office clerk, and the
12Governor's Office - State of Illinois in Washington, D.C.; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was a member of Holy Family
14Catholic Parish in Litchfield; she enjoyed mowing her lawn and
15watching the St. Louis Cardinals; she especially enjoyed
16spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was preceded in death by her
19husband, John; her parents; and her brothers, Clarence, LeRoy
20"Babe", John, and Gib Zubal; and

1    WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic is survived by her son, Edward
2(Jeanne) Banovic; her grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) Weatherford
3and Andrew (Katie) Banovic; her great-grandchildren, Sydney
4and Kaden Weatherford; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Zubal and
5Norma Zubal; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Marilyn Rose Banovic, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Marilyn Banovic as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
