SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sandra Mary "Sandy" Rukstales of Zion, who passed away on June 6, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales was born in Waukegan to Edmund and Mary DuBois on November 24, 1960; she attended Zion-Benton High School and married James Rukstales on June 29, 1985; and

WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales worked at Ferro Pfanstiehl for over 25 years; she also worked for several years at Rolling Hills Manor as a CNA; and

WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales had a passion for arts and crafts and took a variety of classes, including photography and pottery; she also loved to read and construct her Christmas village; and

WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales was preceded in death by her mother, Mary DuBois, and her daughter, Andrea O'Malley; and

WHEREAS, Sandy Rukstales is survived by her husband of over 30 years, James Rukstales; her children, Jessica (Nick) Wessel, Jennifer Rukstales, and Nicholas Rukstales; her nephew, Michael DuBois; her grandchildren, Faith O'Malley, Brice O'Malley, Dustin Rukstales Zeien, and Aiden O'Malley; her father, Edmund (Linda) DuBois; and her siblings, Cindy DuBois, Chuck (Val) DuBois, Sharon (Bryan) Ballman, David (Lily) DuBois, Jason DuBois, and Eric DuBois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sandra Mary "Sandy" Rukstales, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sandy Rukstales as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
