SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Alfred F. "Fred" Ballstaedt, who passed away on February 18, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Fred Ballstaedt was born in Germany to Fredrich and Erna (Paul) Ballstaedt on April 20, 1939; he married Kathleen Albright at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McHenry on June 17, 1961; and

WHEREAS, Fred Ballstaedt worked at T.C. Industries for 42 years and was an Executive Vice President of Engineering; and

WHEREAS, Fred Ballstaedt enjoyed carpentry and working on the house; he was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed golfing; he had a great sense of humor, loved his family, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Fred Ballstaedt was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Tracy Ballstaedt; and

WHEREAS, Fred Ballstaedt is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen; his children, Dan Ballstaedt, Anita (Jim) Camara, Michael (Toni) Ballstaedt, and Frederick (Lori) Ballstaedt; his grandchildren, Toni, Jeff, Alyssa, Adam, Julie, Kevin, Breana, Andrea, and Dustin; his great-grandchildren, Kevin and Zach; and his sister, Irma Sprung; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Alfred F. "Fred" Ballstaedt and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Ballstaedt as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
