SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Aaron Michael Scofield, who passed away
4on January 18, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Aaron Scofield was born in Joliet on August 28,
61986; he attended Holy Family Catholic School, Hufford Junior
7High, Joliet West High School, and Joliet Junior College; a
8lifelong resident of Joliet, he had been living in Chicago for
9the past six years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Aaron Scofield worked as a warehouse technician
11for Amazon in Joliet; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Aaron Scofield was an avid gamer, who enjoyed
13playing and collecting retro video games and listening to a
14wide variety of music; he enjoyed spending time with his
15family, friends, and his two dogs, Violet and Chico; above all,
16was his love for his wife, Roxy; he will be remembered for his
17unique sense of humor, his love-filled laugh, and his
18tremendous honesty; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Aaron Scofield was preceded in death by his
20grandparents, Ruby (Calcanas) and Julius Lopez and Marjorie
21(Webb) and Emil "Duke" Scofield; and his cousin, Michael Naese;

2    WHEREAS, Aaron Scofield is survived by his wife, Roxana
3(Jasso); his mother, Linda (James) Brodnicki; his father,
4Geoffrey (companion Merrilyn Turner) Scofield Sr.; his
5brother, Geoffrey W. Scofield Jr; his sister, Sarah (Carlos)
6Jiminez; his in-laws, Luz Elena and Arturo Jasso; his
7sisters-in-law, Celena, Claudia, Cristina, and Elvira Jasso;
8his brother-in-law, Arturo Jasso; his nieces and nephew, Mia,
9Xavier, and Elena Jiminez, Logan, Savannah, and Christian
10Scofield, Carlos and Diego Beltran, Anabelle Jasso, and Anthony
11Chao; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Aaron Michael Scofield and extend our sincere condolences to
15his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Aaron Scofield as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
