SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Thomas Langan of Chicago, who passed away on January 28, 2017 at the age of 97; and

WHEREAS, James Langan served in the United States Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, James Langan was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Hill) Langan, and his brother, Robert Spitzer; and

WHEREAS, James Langan was the loving father of Maureen (Peter) Ott, Kathleen (Neil) Leslie, and Jim (Missy) Langan; the devoted grandfather of Jennifer (Robert) Daleiden, Nicole (Ryan) Walker, Eric Leslie, Traci Leslie, Russell Langan, and Jason DiPietro; and the adoring great-grandfather of Christian, Liam, Raegan, Collin, and Lily; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Thomas Langan, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Langan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
