SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leroy Fitzgerald of Huntley, who passed
4away on November 17, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was born to Michael and Amelia
6(Drendel) Fitzgerald on April 26, 1927; at the age of 8, he
7moved with his family to a farm in Huntley, where he lived for
882 years; he served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955 and
9married Louise Obenauf on November 10, 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was a dairy and crop farmer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was a lifelong member of St. Mary
12Catholic Church of Huntley; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his
14parents; his infant daughter, Teresa Louise; and his sister,
15Celestine Seisser; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, Louise;
17his daughters, Mary (David) Reece and Ann (Paul) Ostrander; his
18sons, Michael, Edward (Shari), Dale (Lisa), and David; his
19grandchildren, Amy, Kristie, and Jennifer Reece, Jenna (Jake)
20Talbert, Bryan Ostrander, Eion and Conor Fitzgerald, and

1Jessica and Sarah Fitzgerald; and his great-grandchildren,
2Hunter, Vincent, Lana, and Alex Talbert; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Leroy Fitzgerald, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Leroy Fitzgerald as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
