SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert W. Hellberg of Moline, who passed
4away on October 18, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Hellberg was born in Moline to Gosta R. and
6Martha I. Carlin Hellberg on October 29, 1925; he served in the
7United States Navy during World War II and married Virginia P.
8Johnson in Davenport, Iowa on September 8, 1951; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Hellberg worked as an experimental
10mechanic for John Deere; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Hellberg was a member of the Moline Vikings
12Club and Moline American Legion Post 246; he enjoyed boating,
13fishing, gardening, and traveling; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Hellberg was preceded in death by his
15parents; his wife, Virginia; and his son, Robert Hellberg Jr.;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Hellberg is survived by his daughters,
18Barbara (John) Dinquel and Nancy (Jeff) Raes; his
19daughter-in-law, Gail Hellberg; his grandchildren, Kristina
20(Steven Galanius) Dinquel, Kayla Dinquel, Rebecca Dinquel,

1Matthew W. Dinquel (Mariko), Sarah Raes (Craig Rule), Jeff Raes
2(Taylor), Dylan Raes, Katherine Hellberg, and Karl Hellberg;
3and 11 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Robert W. Hellberg, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Robert Hellberg as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
