SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael J. Meier of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on January 18, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Meier was born in Woodstock to Harold and
6Marie Meier on March 28, 1941; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Meier was a self-employed painter and
8decorator in the Crystal Lake area for over 50 years; he served
9his community as a volunteer fireman with Crystal Lake
10Fire-Rescue for many years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Meier coached his son, Scott and grandson,
12Cameron, throughout their youth baseball years and enjoyed
13watching his children and grandchildren play tennis; he enjoyed
14fishing, traveling, boating, watching wildlife, and spending
15time with his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Meier was preceded in death by his
17parents; and his sisters, Bonnie Meier and Judy Albrecht; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Meier is survived by his wife of 53 years,
19Mary Lou; his children, Conni (Jeff) Stinek and Scott Meier;
20his grandchildren, Cameron and Kelsey Laktash; and his sister

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Michael J. Meier, and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Michael Meier as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
