SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michelina "Michelle" Paolucci of Joliet,
4who passed away on October 10, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci was born to Leonardo and Maria
6(Ciricillo) Vecere in St. Elia, Italy; she immigrated to the
7United States shortly after her marriage to Alfred Paolucci
8Sr.; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci supported many charitable
10causes; she looked forward to each day at Paolucci Diamond
11Center; her creativity and experience in jewelry design and her
12knowledge of her clients' needs were unsurpassed; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci treasured spending the winter
14months in Marco Island, Florida with Alfred and their snowbird
15friends; she was a championship bocce ball player and also
16enjoyed golf, visiting with friends at the Italian American
17Society of Marco Island, collecting shells for crafts, and
18taking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast; she enjoyed summertime
19pontoon cruising on the Kankakee River with family; her family
20meant everything to her; whether she was hosting a holiday get
21together or engaging in a competitive board or card game with
22her beloved grandchildren, she radiated warmth and love; her

1smile was contagious; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci was preceded in death by her
3parents; and her brother, Salvatore Vecere; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Michelle Paolucci is survived by her husband,
5Alfred; her children, Regina (Tony) DelSasso, Mary (Thomas)
6Manno, Gabriella (Eric) Gavin, Ada (Andrew) Wahl, and Alfred
7Jr. (Tammy) Paolucci; her grandchildren, Christina (Antonio
8Joaquin), Julia and Victoria Manno, Elise and Elliott Kozal,
9Alanna and Adam Wahl, and Megan and Mallory Paolucci; her
10sister, Maria Sacco; and her many nieces and nephews;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Michelina "Michelle" Paolucci and extend our sincere
15condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
16her; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Michelle Paolucci as an expression
19of our deepest sympathy.
