SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ruthann "Ruthie" Montgomery (Rundle) Wellhausen of St. Charles, who passed away on October 14, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Ruthie Wellhausen was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Stephen Schwark and Elaine Rundle-Schwark on July 10, 1976; she graduated from Springfield High School and Eastern Illinois University, where she studied Speech Communication and served in the student government; she married Sean Wellhausen in Springfield on June 12, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Ruthie Wellhausen was most recently Vice President of Sales for the Loan Repayment Assistant Program Association; and

WHEREAS, Ruthie Wellhausen spent her life loving people and building relationships; from the time of her diagnosis, she decided to craft a bucket list and make meaningful memories with trips to New York City, Hawaii, Colorado, and a spiritual pilgrimage to Medjugorje; and

WHEREAS, Ruthie Wellhausen is survived by her husband, Sean; her children, Gail Renner, Alair Wellhausen, and Mason Wellhausen; her parents; her sister, Wanda Rundle; her nephew, Alexander Salazar; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ruthann "Ruthie" Montgomery (Rundle) Wellhausen and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ruthie Wellhausen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
