SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gary A. Stauthammer of Peoria, who passed
4away on September 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Stauthammer was born in Pekin to William A.
6and Patricia A. (Heitzman) Stauthammer on March 29, 1963; he
7graduated from Illinois Central College with Associate Degrees
8in Music and Fire Science; he married Denise G. Lohrenz in
9Pekin on June 18, 1988; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Gary Stauthammer held the rank of captain with the
11City of Peoria Fire Department and was a hazardous material
12coordinator; he was also a bugler for the fire department; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gary Stauthammer enjoyed hunting, fishing,
14gardening, and being outdoors; he enjoyed playing Dartball at
15St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Chillicothe and at First United
16Methodist Church in Peoria; he was a member of the Second
17Reformed Church in Pekin; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Gary Stauthammer was preceded in death by his
19father and his brother, Willis E. Stauthammer; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Gary Stauthammer is survived by his wife of 29

1years, Denise; his children, Jaasiel, Jaelynn, and Jacob
2(Darcy) Stauthammer; his mother, Patricia Stauthammer; his
3brothers, Randall W. (Mary) Stauthammer, James A. Stauthammer,
4and William A. (Angela) Stauthammer Jr.; and his extended
5family, Warren and Steve Krause; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Gary A. Stauthammer, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Gary Stauthammer as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
