SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

820 ILCS 130/11c new

Amends the Prevailing Wage Act. Exempts from the provisions of the Act any public works project with an estimated project cost of $1,000,000 or less. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Prevailing Wage Act is amended by adding Section 11c as follows:

(820 ILCS 130/11c new)

Sec. 11c. Exemption. Any public works project with an estimated project cost of $1,000,000 or less is exempt from the provisions of this Act.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
