1    AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Veterans and Servicemembers Court Treatment
5Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

8    Sec. 15. Authorization. The Chief Judge of each judicial
9circuit may establish a Veterans and Servicemembers Court
10program including a format under which it operates under this
11Act. The Veterans and Servicemembers Court may, at the
12discretion of the Chief Judge, be a separate court or a program
13of a problem-solving court, including but not limited to a drug
14court or mental health court. At the discretion of the Chief
15Judge, the Veterans and Servicemembers Court program may be
16operated in one or more counties county in the Circuit, and
17allow veteran and servicemember defendants from all counties
18within the Circuit to participate.

11    Section 95. No acceleration or delay. Where this Act makes
12changes in a statute that is represented in this Act by text
13that is not yet or no longer in effect (for example, a Section
14represented by multiple versions), the use of that text does
15not accelerate or delay the taking effect of (i) the changes
16made by this Act or (ii) provisions derived from any other
17Public Act.
