HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Citizens of the State owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the men and women of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority who selflessly work to aid drivers and keep our roadways safe; every day, these individuals face risks and often put their personal safety on the line to perform their duties; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of David Schwarz, who tragically passed away on September 18, 2017 while clearing debris along the Tri-State Tollway in Alsip; and

WHEREAS, David Schwarz joined the Illinois Tollway in 1992 and was a dedicated employee for 25 years; he worked as an Equipment Operator Laborer, performing duties that included removing snow, maintaining safe roadway conditions, and, most vitally, assisting drivers who were stranded or needed help; and

WHEREAS, David Schwarz was a respected Tollway employee who will always be remembered for the countless lives he touched; and

WHEREAS, David Schwarz was the loving husband of Hope (Enzenbacher); the devoted father of Jacob and Zachery; the beloved son of Wilhelm and Ruth Schwarz; and the cherished brother of Heidi Schwarz; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David Schwarz and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Schwarz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
