HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Isaiah Curry on the occasion of his 80th birthday, along with the renewal of his wedding vows to his wife of 20 years, Velma, on October 7, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Isaiah Curry has demonstrated a strong commitment to the education of children throughout his life; he is well recognized for contributing much to many in his years as an educator; he worked consistently to help in the formation of the educated citizens whose future lives have and will continue to radiate influence in fellow churches, communities, the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, Isaiah Curry and his wife are especially appreciated by the Simeon community for their continual and unwavering support for the once, current, and future Simeonites that have and will pass through the halls; and

WHEREAS, Isaiah Curry's spirit acts as a beacon to all; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Isaiah Curry on his 80th birthday, and recognize his strong commitment to the education of citizens past, present, and future; we wish him many more wonderful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Isaiah Curry as an expression of our esteem and respect.
