HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives have
3learned with great sadness of the death of Stacy Verne Dixon;
4and
 
5    WHEREAS, As a skilled professional, Stacy Dixon provided
6widely respected public relations counsel to a wide range of
7clients, including AT&T, the Art Institute of Chicago, the
8Arlington International Race Course, and Chicago Day, a
9citywide open house for 15 cultural institutions; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon was a graduate of Eastern Illinois
11University; she advanced her love of reading by her involvement
12in the Beverly Bookinistas and the South Look Book Club; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon partnered with her husband, Jeff, to
14found and grow Dixon and Company and help dozens of other
15national, regional, and local entities; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon and Jeff took great pleasure in
17relaxing at their summer home affectionately known as "Purple
18Haze" for its lilac paint scheme; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon is best known and fondly remembered as
20the loving mother of Jessica and Whitney; the loving

1grandmother of Lily; the loving daughter of Shirley Allers and
2Wayne Boyle; and the loving daughter-in-law of United States
3Senator Alan J. and Jody Dixon; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
6express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Stacy
7Verne Dixon and will remember that Illinois and its citizens
8are in a better place because of her effort; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Stacy Dixon as a symbol of our
11deepest sympathy.
