HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Phillip Anthony Harrell Sr., who passed away on January 12, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. was born to Jerry and Francine Harrell on December 2, 1972; he attended Saint Thomas Aquinas Elementary School and John Marshall Metropolitan High School; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. worked with his father at the Department of Unemployment Security before moving to Sikeston, Missouri, where he met Latasha Turner; they married in June of 2006; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. enjoyed tennis and basketball; he was a member of Proviso Missionary Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. is survived by his wife, Tasha Harrell; his sons, Phillip A. Harrell Jr., and Zaylen; his parents, Jerry S. and Francine E. Harrell; his sister, Marshan D. (Chuck) Washington; his brother, Jerry S. (Connie) Harrell Jr.; his brother, Rev. John F. (Rahshedah) Harrell; his nieces, Tiara Delk, Elizabeth Delk, Lashon Delk, Bryanna Harrell, Shante Perkins, Persheda Perkins, Sanaa Williams, and Kayla Harrell; his nephews, Gerald Delk, Jerry S. Harrell III, Cameron Harrell, Jayden Harrell, Andre Morris, Kaden Harrell, and Tanden Harrell; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, and aunts; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Phillip Anthony Harrell Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Phillip Harrell Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
