HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Michael J. "Mickey" Goral for his years of service as Rockford Township Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, Michael Goral is a lifelong Rockford resident and has served the more than 175,000 residents of Rockford Township for 20 years as supervisor, ensuring that families across the community received access to critically needed assistance; and

WHEREAS, During Michael Goral's years of service within Winnebago County, he was Chairman of the Forest Preserve Executive Committee, Chairman of the Committee for Re-organization of County Government, and Vice-Chairman of the Finance Committee; and

WHEREAS, Michael Goral served with distinction as a member of the Township Officials of Illinois, the Township Supervisors of Illinois, the National Association of Towns and Townships, the General Assistance Training Institute, the Rockford Health Council, the Workforce Development and Welfare Reform Task Force, the Federal Emergency Management Agency Board, the City of Rockford Condemnation Task Force, the Mayor's Homeless Task Force, the Welfare Services Committee, the Winnebago County Public Aid Committee, the Rockford Red Cross Homeless Providers Committee, the Rockford United Way Campaign Cabinet Committee, the Greater Rockford Airport Planning Advisory Committee, and the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board; and

WHEREAS, Michael Goral is a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School; he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Sociology from Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Michael Goral and his wife, Tami, have twin daughters, Karley and Kiley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Michael J. "Mickey" Goral on his dedication to the people of Rockford Township, the City of Rockford, and Winnebago County, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Michael Goral as an expression of our esteem and respect.
