HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds on the occasion of its 60th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, J.L. Hubbard was founded in 1957 by James L. Hubbard; it soon began specializing in providing insurance and surety bonds to contractors throughout the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, In 1983, James Hubbard sold his interest in the agency to Hertz Associates of Nevada, Iowa; and

WHEREAS, In 1994, the management team of Kevin Breheny, Randy Cannady, Ron Koopman, and Linda Hopkins purchased the company and formed Breheny & Associates; in 2002, the agency merged with Soy Capital Bank & Trust; and

WHEREAS, The annual insurance premiums written by J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds have grown from $2 million in 1983 to over $100 million today; it is one of the largest agencies serving the central and downstate areas of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds on its 60th anniversary and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds as an expression of our esteem and respect.
