HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The University of Illinois is one of the world's best research institutions; and

WHEREAS, The University has campuses located in Chicago, Urbana-Champaign, and Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Undergraduate students at all three campuses engage in research on cutting-edge topics under the guidance of their professors; and

WHEREAS, Thirty of these students will be making poster presentations about their research on April 25, 2017 in the State Capitol at the fourth University of Illinois Undergraduate Research Day; and

WHEREAS, The students have received excellent guidance from the staff and faculty of the three campuses in preparation for this day, such as Keenan Dungey, Sara Hall, Karen Ann Rodriguez, Thomas Moss, Joan Sestak, and Frances Shen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our congratulations to all University of Illinois students and their advisors for their creativity and inquisitiveness; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to University of Illinois at Chicago Chancellor Michael Amiridis, University of Illinois at Springfield Chancellor Susan Koch, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Chancellor Robert Jones.
