HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Anthony Pelosi on the occasion of his retirement as Elmhurst Park District Commissioner on April 24, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Pelosi was first elected to the Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners in 2011; he served on numerous committees, including the People for Elmhurst Parks, Finance, and the Sugar Creek Golf Course Board; and

WHEREAS, During Anthony Pelosi's time on the Elmhurst Park District Board of Commissioners, the park received Illinois Distinguished Agency Reaccreditation and Park District Risk Management Association Accreditation; it received an honorable mention for the Illinois Governor's Sustainability Award; and

WHEREAS, In the six years that Anthony Pelosi has been on the Elmhurst Park District Board of Commissioners, the park received the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards in six consecutive years; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Pelosi has given countless hours toward the park and recreation movement in Elmhurst; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Anthony Pelosi on his retirement as Elmhurst Park District Commissioner, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Anthony Pelosi as an expression of our esteem and respect.
