HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, BMO Financial Group is a highly diversified North American financial services provider, one that has 45,000 employees and provides a broad range of retail banking, commercial banking, wealth management, and investment banking products and services to more than 12 million customers; and

WHEREAS, BMO's United States retail headquarters are located in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, 2017 marks BMO's bicentennial; for 200 years, it has been financing economic expansion and playing an important role in the growth of two great nations, Canada and the United States, and helping many, many customers achieve their ambitions along the way; and

WHEREAS, BMO has taken a long-term view of customer relationships, economic cycles, and responsibility to the community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare April 13, 2017 as "BMO Financial Group Day" in the State of Illinois, and we encourage the citizens of Illinois to recognize the long and proud history of this important institution; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to BMO Harris Bank President and CEO David Casper, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Governor Bruce Rauner.
