HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Steven Ross Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was born in Chicago to Lucilla Ross and Aubrey Sanders on August 31, 1966; he attended West Pullman Elementary School and Percy L. Julian High School; he completed the criminal justice program at Truman College and married Jenetta Ross; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. owned and operated Ross Family Photography & Videography for over 20 years; he also worked at Supreme Security; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. served at Original Holy Ark M.B. Church for over 20 years; he sang in the Sunshine Choir, Inspirations, and the Voices Choir; he was part of the men's ministry, the marriage ministry, and the media ministry; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. and his wife also served at Living Word Christian Center; his wife took a position as Pastor at God's Healing Place Ministry and he accompanied her, where he served as Executive Pastor and Elder; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was affectionately known as "Big Baby" and "Picture Man"; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Sanders; and

WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. is survived by his wife, Pastor Jenetta; his daughter, Jenell; his son, Steven Jr.; his mother, Lucilla; his siblings, Charon, Sonja, Mark, Kimberly, Patricia, Nicole, Alex Jr., Cherise, and NaKita; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; his godchildren, Deetta, Amanda, and Saniyyah; and many other family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Steven Ross Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steven Ross Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
