HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Steven
4Ross Sr.; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was born in Chicago to Lucilla
6Ross and Aubrey Sanders on August 31, 1966; he attended West
7Pullman Elementary School and Percy L. Julian High School; he
8completed the criminal justice program at Truman College and
9married Jenetta Ross; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. owned and operated Ross Family
11Photography & Videography for over 20 years; he also worked at
12Supreme Security; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. served at Original Holy Ark M.B.
14Church for over 20 years; he sang in the Sunshine Choir,
15Inspirations, and the Voices Choir; he was part of the men's
16ministry, the marriage ministry, and the media ministry; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. and his wife also served at Living
18Word Christian Center; his wife took a position as Pastor at
19God's Healing Place Ministry and he accompanied her, where he
20served as Executive Pastor and Elder; and

1    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was affectionately known as "Big
2Baby" and "Picture Man"; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. was preceded in death by his
4father, Aubrey Sanders; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Ross Sr. is survived by his wife, Pastor
6Jenetta; his daughter, Jenell; his son, Steven Jr.; his mother,
7Lucilla; his siblings, Charon, Sonja, Mark, Kimberly,
8Patricia, Nicole, Alex Jr., Cherise, and NaKita; a host of
9nieces, nephews, and cousins; his godchildren, Deetta, Amanda,
10and Saniyyah; and many other family and friends; therefore, be
11it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
14mourn the passing of Steven Ross Sr., and extend our sincere
15condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
16him; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Steven Ross Sr. as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
