HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Alex Bussen on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout on November 26, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Alex Bussen is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 497; he is a junior at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates; and

WHEREAS, For his Eagle Scout project, Alex Bussen provided cost-free, high-quality musical instruments to junior high students in his community; in little less than a year, he delivered 21 violins, trumpets, trombones, flutes, and clarinets at no cost to the students of School District 54; and

WHEREAS, As part of his involvement with Scouting, Alex Bussen was a part of National Youth Leadership Training, which helps impart the skills needed to be a good leader; and

WHEREAS, Alex Bussen is also involved with the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra; it was his passion for music that gave him his idea for his Eagle Scout project; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Alex Bussen on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Alex Bussen as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
