SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Russell "Rusty" Chism, who passed away on January 22, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Russell Chism was born in Champaign on January 1, 1965 to Forrest and Nancy (nee Swan) Chism; he married Prease Winkler on October 5, 1991 in St. Joseph; and

WHEREAS, Russell Chism worked for the St. Joseph-Stanton Fire Protection District for more than 30 years, including the past 10 years as Fire Chief; he also worked as Division Chief for the Urbana Fire Department; he previously worked as a paramedic and flight medic for Carle Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Russell Chism enjoyed 4-wheeling, especially with his son, and spending time with his children; and

WHEREAS, Russell Chism was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and

WHEREAS, Russell Chism is survived by his wife, Prease; his son, Addison; his daughter, Aidynn; his parents; his brothers, Brad Chism and Scotty Chism; his parents-in-law, Darrell and Cheet Winkler; his sister-in-law, Zachera (Joseph) Wier; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Russell "Rusty" Chism, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Russell Chism as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
