SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard J. Novak of Fox River Grove, who passed away on August 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Richard Novak was born on March 14, 1935 in Chicago; his parents were Richard and Vlasta Novak; and

WHEREAS, Richard Novak owned and operated Novak & Kelsey Insurance Agency in Fox River Grove; he was also president of the McHenry County Independent Insurance Agents and served on the boards of the Fox River Grove Savings & Loan and Marengo Federal Savings & Loan; and

WHEREAS, Richard Novak enjoyed his summer home in Presque Isle, Wisconsin, where he served on the Van Vliet Lake Association Board; and

WHEREAS, Richard Novak was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Lynne Novak; a son, James Novak; and a sister, Jean Kelsey; and

WHEREAS, Richard Novak is survived by 4 children, Katherine (Kevin) Mayoros, Sandra (Dave) Sidlo, Julie (John) Morgan, and Paul (Dottie) Novak; 4 grandchildren, Scott and Samantha Sidlo and Emily and Reyna Novak; and a brother-in-law, Frank Kelsey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard J. Novak; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Novak as an expression of our sympathy.
