SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Essie L. Moy of East St. Louis, who passed away on August 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Essie Moy served the people of the State of Illinois as the Legislative District Office Manager for the late Illinois State Senator Kenneth Hall from 1977 to 1995; she subsequently served as the Legislative District Office Manager for Illinois State Senator James F. Clayborne, Jr. from 1995 to 2012; and

WHEREAS, Essie Moy is survived by 2 children, Roland (Gladys) Moy and Rosita (Thomas) Moy-Washington; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Shack; 4 nephews; 2 godchildren; and her many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Essie L. Moy; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Essie Moy as an expression of our sympathy.
