SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Louis N. Arroyo of McHenry, who passed away on July 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was born on March 1, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his parents were Daniel and Ruby (nee Nava) Arroyo; he married Theresa Barajas on December 11, 1953 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was a machinist and salesman; he was also a cook at St. Regis in McHenry and retired from the Illinois Tollway; following his retirement, he worked at Ace Hardware in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was an avid bowler and a football fan; he also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Paul Martinez; and

WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Yvonne, Denise (Dennis) Tyk, and Annette Arroyo; 3 grandchildren, Steve (Becky) Smith, Kristen, and Katelyn; 7 nieces and nephews, Joseph, Rick, Richard, Laura, Mary, Hector, and Mark; and a sister, Inez (Al) Galvan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis N. Arroyo; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Louis Arroyo as an expression of our sympathy.
