SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dave Partlow of Moline, who passed away
4on July 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Partlow was born in Moline on August 17, 1931
6to Howard Partlow and Hattie Timm; he married Donna Faye
7Engelhardt on January 14, 1950 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in
8Bettendorf, Iowa; he served in the United States Army during
9the Korean conflict; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dave Partlow worked at John Deere Plow Planter
11Works for 32 years, retiring in 1987; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dave Partlow enjoyed taking care of all the
13wildlife at his house and loved his dog, Sarah Faye; he could
14often be found with a cold beer in his hand at his homemade
15basement bar (Dave's BB Club); he liked watching NASCAR and
16judge shows on television; in his lifetime, he had 29 dogs and
17cats, all strays he adopted from various animal shelters; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dave Partlow was preceded in death by his parents;
19his wife, Donna; and his daughter, Susan; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dave Partlow is survived by his children, Cynthia

1Lawrence-Foster, Kathy Hernandez (Tim), and David (Julie)
2Partlow; his 11 grandchildren, Angie, Tony, Allison, Sarena,
3Kristy, Ricky, Wendy, Kimberly, Vanessa, Kara, and Misty; his
421 great-grandchildren; and his 3 great-great-grandchildren;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Dave Partlow, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Dave Partlow as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
