SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond Cornelius Williams, who passed away on May 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Williams was born on January 17, 1955 in Chicago; his parents were Eugene and Susie Williams; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Williams attended and graduated from Chicago Public Schools; he worked at UPS and several other jobs; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; his parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Steve; 2 brothers-in-law, Benjamin Smith and Lott Cherry; 2 nieces, Cheryl Morris and Valerie Smith; and a nephew, Kevin Neal; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Williams is survived by 3 children, Eugene (Rachel), Christopher, and Jennifer; 2 sisters, Hattie and Estella; 2 brothers, Eugene (Darcelle) and Michael; 7 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Raymond Cornelius Williams; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Williams as an expression of our sympathy.
