SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jerry Wayne Grubbs of Gurnee, who passed away on June 9, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Grubbs was born on May 24, 1954 in Harlan County, Kentucky and was a lifelong resident of the Waukegan area; his parents were Arnold and Wilma Grubbs; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Grubbs worked for 23 years at Siemens (formally Kemper Insurance); and

WHEREAS, Jerry Grubbs enjoyed golfing, bowling, and his 1967 Chevelle; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Grubbs was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louise Hacker; 3 brothers, Roscoe, David, and Larry Grubbs; and a brother-in-law, Don Schlegel; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Grubbs is survived by his wife of 12 years, Diana (nee Cuellar) Grubbs; a son, Sean Grubbs; 2 sisters, Eunice Schlegel and Opal (Steve) Werenski; a brother, Ron (Wendy) Grubbs; his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and the loving Cuellar Family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Jerry Wayne Grubbs; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerry Grubbs as an expression of our sympathy.
