SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward Lyle Howell of Woodstock, who passed away on May 27, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Edward Howell was born in Woodstock on January 28, 1946 to Ancel and Edith (nee Whitehead) Howell; he attended Woodstock schools and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, including a tour of duty in Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, Edward Howell was a member of the Moose Lodge in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Edward Howell was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Rita Howell; and a great-niece, Brandi Howell; and

WHEREAS, Edward Howell is survived by his siblings, Marcia Holtz, Les (Gay) Howell, and Ken (Kathy) Howell; his nieces and nephews, Cyndi Pitner, Karen Herman, Scott Howell, Lisa Sanders, Jennifer Howell, Cheryl Lee, Todd Howell, Kristin Heiman, Jay Holtz, Andrew Howell, Michelle Howell, and Sherri Howell; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward Lyle Howell, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Howell as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
