SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth "Alan" Risley, III of Harvard, who passed away on May 9, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Risley, III was born on May 15, 2002 in Washington, Indiana; his parents were Amy Groat and Kenneth Alan Risley, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Risley, III was in the 7th grade Life Skills program at Creekside Middle School in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Risley, III enjoyed swimming, camping, riding his bike, and music; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Risley, III was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Virgil Groat and Harry Bussie; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Risley, III is survived by his parents; his great-grandmothers, Judith Groat and Lois Bussie; his grandparents, Rodd and Kathleen Groat; his aunts and uncles, Lisa and Phil Birkhead, Emily and Joe Young, and Beth and Chris Scherer; and his cousins, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Sullivan, Abigail, Mindy, and Benjamin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth "Alan" Risley, III; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Risley, III as an expression of our sympathy.
