SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Janette Weatherall, who passed away on May 11, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 19, 1954 to Jim and Doris Weatherall; and

WHEREAS, In 1989, Janette Weatherall relocated to Springfield to pursue an employment opportunity with AFSCME Local 2000; in 1993, her career as a lobbyist began with the Illinois Education Association, where she served 20 years before retiring in 2013; and

WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was very passionate about serving in her church (Cathedral of Praise), health, education, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; and her sister; and

WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall is survived by her daughter, Fatina (Juan) Conway; her 5 sisters, Annie (Eddie) Jumper, Mary Helen Walker, Minnie McLemore, Christine (Arthur) Francis, and Myra (Mark) Hunter; her brother, Sylvester (Aletha) Weatherall; her uncle, Herbert (Mary Frances) Weatherall; her 8 grandchildren, Janee (Brandon) O'Bryant, Isaiah Conway, Jeremiah Conway, Darryn Conway, Damon Conway, Danae Conway, Danielle Conway, and Daniel Conway; her 2 great-grandchildren, Serenity and Christian O'Bryant; her god-son, Casey Collier; her best friend, Lonnie Grant; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jeanette Weatherall, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Janette Weatherall as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
