SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alan K. Nurnberg of McHenry, who passed
4away on April 18, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg was born on November 25, 1948 in
6Waukegan; his parents were Clifford C. and Ann (nee Orrock)
7Nurnberg; he married Barbara Lesnak on November 16, 1974 at the
8Mother of God Church in Waukegan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg served his country as a member of
10the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg worked as a land surveyor for 40
12years; following his retirement, he became a full-time
13babysitter for his grandchildren; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid
15fisherman; he also enjoyed listening to old-time radio shows,
16especially Jonny Dollar; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg was preceded in death by his
18parents; a son, Cpl. Keith A. Nurnberg; and his in-laws, Frank
19and Theresa Lesnak; and

1    WHEREAS, Alan Nurnberg is survived by his beloved wife of
230 years, Barbara; 3 daughters, Melissa Tessmer, Christy (Nate)
3Hamman, and Kim Nurnberg; 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Timmy, Ben,
4Keith, and Hector; a brother, Clifford (Carole) Nurnberg; and 2
5sisters, Bonnie (Bud) Grosos and Judy (Clem) Wirfs; therefore,
6be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Alan K. Nurnberg; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Alan Nurnberg as an expression of
13our sympathy.
