SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George C. Stahl of Mundelein, who passed away on April 2, 2015; and

WHEREAS, George Stahl was born in Chicago on January 7, 1921 and had been a Mundelein resident since 1955; he served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II in the European Theater; and

WHEREAS, George Stahl worked for 55 years at Commonwealth Edison in customer service; and

WHEREAS, George Stahl was a member of the Libertyville Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 329, St. Joseph Church, and the Libertyville Senior Center; he enjoyed fishing, computers, traveling, playing cards, and casinos and will be remembered for his sense of humor, making everyone he came across laugh; and

WHEREAS, George Stahl was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and by his 2 brothers, Bill and Bob Stahl; and

WHEREAS, George Stahl is survived by his 3 children, Sherri and Gregory Stahl and Deborah Roper; his 2 grandchildren, Maxwell Infanti and Cheyenne Roper; and his sister, Mary Jane (Bill) Porcelli; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of George C. Stahl, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Stahl as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
