SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eva A. Zupec of Gurnee, who passed away
4on April 4, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eva Zupec was born on June 13, 1925 in Stambaugh,
6Michigan; her parents were Jenny (nee Smedberg) and Matt
7Kallio; she married Joseph A. "Sipsy" Zupec on September 25,
81948 at the Mother of God Church in Waukegan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eva Zupec was employed with the City of Waukegan
10as Secretary for Mayor Robert Sabonjian and Service School
11Command - Great Lakes, retiring after 25 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, After retirement, Eva Zupec enjoyed golfing and
13having dinner with her Hobby Lobby friends; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Eva Zupec was preceded in death by her husband,
15Joseph; her parents; and a brother, Matt Kallio; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Eva Zupec is survived by her children, Joseph T.
17(Mary Alice) Zupec, Sandra J. (John E.) Knobbe, Debra G.
18(Gregory) Yanik, and Cynthia L. (Michael) Weakley; her
19grandchildren, Julie (Alex) Johnson, Jenny (David) Morse,
20Kristin (Corey) Canfield, John J. (Yarissma) Knobbe, Kelly and

1Kevin Weakley, and Mathew Yanik; her great-grandchildren,
2William and Avery Johnson, Cooper Canfield, and Sofia Knobbe; a
3sister-in-law, Joan Zupec; and many nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Eva A. Zupec; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Eva Zupec as an expression of our
11sympathy.
