SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clayton Lee Hale of rural Roberts, who passed away on February 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was born on August 26, 1988 in Gibson City; his parents were Larry and Diana Eppelheimer Hale; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale graduated from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School in 2007; he was a member of the school's FFA chapter; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale began working for the True Value Hardware Store in Paxton during his senior year of high school; he continued to work there until 2013; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Paxton; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was fascinated by trains and enjoyed watching them as they went through town; he had a great enthusiasm for hunting and fishing; he also enjoyed classic cars and was a friend and fan of Tom Meents and his "Max-D"; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale was preceded in death by his grandfathers and a brother, Lucas Hale; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Hale is survived by his parents; 2 brothers, Jade Tavenner and Corey (Dawn) Tavenner; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Eppelheimer; and his paternal grandmother, Lena Camp; and

WHEREAS, The City of Paxton will dedicate the walk bridge over the Canadian National Railroad tracks in Paxton in memory of Clayton Hale; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Clayton Lee Hale; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clayton Hale as an expression of our sympathy.
