SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Dell Marden of Harvard, who passed away on December 29, 2014; and

WHEREAS, William Marden was born on July 24, 1943 in Harvard; his parents were William C. and Eva A. (nee Anderson) Marden; he married Carol Andrew on June 20, 1964 in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, William Marden worked as a union plumber for many years until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, William Marden was a former member and past president of the Harvard Sportsman's Club; he also enjoyed woodworking, including intarsia, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family; and

WHEREAS, William Marden was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, William Marden is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Michael (Kim) Marden, Robert Marden, Gail (Ron) Gibson, and Kevin (Mardee) Marden; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of William Dell Marden; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Marden as an expression of our sympathy.
