SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret L. Granath of McHenry, who
4passed away on January 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath was born on February 23, 1929 in
6McHenry; her parents were Emil and Hermina (nee Schwarz)
7Herdrich; she married John Granath on April 3, 1948 at St.
8Mary's Church in McHenry; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath was a lifetime resident of
10McHenry; she graduated from McHenry High School in 1947; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath was employed at Rae Motors from
121961 to 1972 and worked in the kitchen at Alden Terrace of
13McHenry; she was later employed by McHenry Township as a bus
14dispatcher, school bus driver, and Pace dispatcher; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath was a member of WCCW and a
16charter member of the McHenry Moose Club; she enjoyed gardening
17and canning vegetables and fruits; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath was preceded in death by her
19parents; a son, Jack; 2 sisters, Pauline (the late Vince) Adams
20and Hilda (the late Robert) Mailfold; and a brother, Fred (the

1late Marie) Herdrich; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Margaret Granath is survived by her husband of 66
3years, John; 3 children, Elizabeth Templeton, Mary Granath, and
4Michael (Diane) Granath; 5 grandchildren, Laura Templeton,
5D.J. Freeman, and Andy, Joe, and Will Granath; 3
6great-grandchildren, Sam, Quinn, and Jackson; a brother, John
7(Lucille) Herdrich; and a sister, Ann (Everett) Hunter;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Margaret L. Granath;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Margaret Granath as an expression of
15our sympathy.
