SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold "Hal" Wajrowski of Crystal Lake, who passed away on November 17, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Harold Wajrowski was born on February 2, 1930 in Chicago; his parents were Frank and Jennie (nee Paszek) Wajrowski; he married Shirley Rothermel on November 22, 1952 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Harold Wajrowski began his teaching career for School District 47 in 1953; he later served as principal of North Elementary School from 1967 until his retirement in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Harold Wajrowski enjoyed traveling with his wife and was an avid sports fan; and

WHEREAS, Harold Wajrowski was preceded in death by a daughter, Shari Bishop; a daughter-in-law, Julie Wajrowski; and a brother-in-law, Hank Schandag; and

WHEREAS, Harold Wajrowski is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Shirley; 4 children, David (Nancy), Pam (John) McMahon, Mark (Roberta), and Jim; his grandchildren, Jacob Bishop, Margaret (Andy) Skibley, Amanda (Joe) Stuber, Adam and Katherine Wajrowski, Amy Liggett, Sara (William) Maass, Tim McMahon, Nina, Luke, Lisa, and Joseph Wajrowski, and Brandon (Carissa) Duffin; 2 great-grandchildren, Conner Liggett and Ava Skibley; and 2 sisters, Ruth Schandag and Connie (Frank) Pixley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold "Hal" Wajrowski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Wajrowski as an expression of our sympathy.
