SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John "Jack" M. Hartnett, who passed away
4on December 7, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Hartnett was born on January 19, 1940 in
6Chicago; his parents were Maurice and Mary (nee Quinlan)
7Hartnett; he married Mary Fox on March 17, 1963 in Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, John Hartnett retired from Consolidated
9Freightways after 34 years of service; he later worked for
10Smith Engineering for 10 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Hartnett was preceded in death by his
12parents; 3 sisters, Rose Ryan, Norita Hickey, and Patricia
13Collins; and a brother, Edward Hartnett; and
 
14    WHEREAS, John Hartnett is survived by his wife, Mary; 3
15children, Timothy (Maureen) Hartnett, Alison (Timothy)
16Anderson, and Jo Ellen (Brennan) Thornton; 4 grandchildren,
17Joshua Hartnett, Eric Hartnett, Wesley Gardner, and Megan
18Gardner; his granddogs, Wyatt, Josie, Archie, and Lulu; a
19sister, Kathleen "Peaches" (Mario) Ricciarelli; and his many
20nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,
21great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
3family and friends, mourn the passing of John "Jack" M.
4Hartnett; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of John Hartnett as an expression of
7our sympathy.
