SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Paul D. Yaney of Spring Grove, who passed away on February 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Paul Yaney graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas and then served as a gunner's mate in the United States Navy on board the U.S.S. Eisenhower, and later the U.S.S. Manitowoc, during the Gulf War; he earned an engineering degree from Northern Illinois University and a Master's of Business Administration from Webster University; and

WHEREAS, Paul Yaney worked at several Chicago-area manufacturing companies, most recently at ITW Kester INC. in Itasca; and

WHEREAS, Paul Yaney enjoyed the great outdoors; he was proud to have attained the rank of Eagle Scout and continued to take pleasure in camping and boating; he loved riding his motorcycle and captaining his boat on the weekends; he could often be found relaxing in his backyard by a bonfire or playing volleyball or softball with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Paul Yaney is survived by his wife of 4 years, Kim; his 2 children, Shannon Yaney and Rebecca Mielke; his granddaughter, Hannah Jones; his mother, Barbara (Roger) Palmer; his father, Joseph Yaney; his sister, Monica (Jeff) Tolva; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paul D. Yaney, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Paul Yaney as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
