SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonard J. "Len" Sieracki of McHenry, who
4passed away on February 2, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonard Sieracki was born in Chicago on October
610, 1953 to Leonard J. and Vera (nee Wurbia) Sieracki; he was
7raised in the Jefferson Park area of Chicago and graduated from
8Weber High School in 1971; on March 3, 1973, he married Maria
9Elena Batka; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Leonard Sieracki was employed by Allstate
11Insurance in Northbrook for 30 years, working in the area of
12project management; for the past 3 years, he was employed by
13Transunion in Chicago as a Senior Analyst; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Leonard Sieracki was an avid reader; he was
15passionate about military history and enjoyed doing research at
16area libraries, learning about some of the less publicized, but
17nonetheless important, battles in history; he enjoyed
18traveling and was most happy when he could combine a
19sightseeing trip across the country with visiting family; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Leonard Sieracki was preceded in death by his
21parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Leonard Sieracki is survived by his wife of 41
2years, Maria; his 4 daughters, Dawn (Nathan) Isaacs, Kim (Tim)
3Parks, Nikki (Ryan) Gebfert, and Kathy (Dee Labao) Sieracki;
4his 3 grandchildren, Emma, Violet, and Elanor Parks; his
5sister, Paula (Tom) Medsker; and many cousins; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Leonard J. Sieracki, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Leonard Sieracki as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
