SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Manke of Woodstock, who passed away on January 5, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was born in Woodstock on July 6, 1922 to Herman and Mary (nee Buttino) Gluth; she married Harvey Manke on August 9, 1941 in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock; she was active in many church activities, including Meals on Wheels and the Ladies Aid; she enjoyed spending Tuesday nights at the bake house singing and dancing to polka music with her many friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Manke; her 2 brothers, Jim Gluth and Mike Gluth; and her sister, Christine Gluth; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Manke is survived by her sons, Roger (Char) Manke and Bill (Teresa Hay) Manke; her 10 grandchildren, Tyne (Jeremy) Peterson, Terra (Pat Peterson) Manke, Andrea (Max Christel) Manke, Andrew Manke, Myranda Manke, Brian (Jenn) Manke, Todd (Missi) Manke, Mandi (Jason) Rozycki, Scott (Beth) Manke, and Shari Manke; her 6 great-grandchildren, Maddie Manke, Lainey Manke, Tyler Rozycki, Colin Rozycki, Sage Peterson, and Peytyn Peterson; her brother, Frank Gluth; her sister, Darlene Parlow; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Margaret Manke, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Manke as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
